Zelenskyy talks to Finland's president over incident involving Ukrainian drones flying over Finnish airspace
Ukrainian president says he and Finnish President Stubb 'see this situation the same way. We are providing all the necessary information'
MOSCOW
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday that he discussed the flying of Ukrainian drones over Finnish airspace in a phone call with his Finnish counterpart, Alexander Stubb.
"Of course, we mentioned the recent drone incident that took place in Finland. Alex and I see this situation the same way. We are providing all the necessary information," he said on Telegram.
He also informed Stubb about his recent meetings and negotiations in the Middle East and Gulf region.
"Strategic agreements are already in place, and our contribution to security and stabilization can be significant," he noted.
Zelenskyy also announced that together with Stubb, they are preparing "communication formats with other European leaders."
"Unwavering attention is also being paid to work on the American track," he said.
The incident involving two drones entering Finnish airspace became known on Sunday, March 29.
Finland's Defense Minister Antti Hakkanen said Helsinki "takes the incident very seriously," that an investigation into the circumstances of the event is ongoing, and that more detailed information will be provided after the facts are confirmed.
