Turkish President Erdogan meets Chinese counterpart Xi in visit to China
Meeting comes as part of Recep Tayyip Erdogan's 2-day visit to China to attend Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit

TIANJIN, China/ISTANBUL
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in Tianjin, China, on Sunday.
The meeting came as Erdogan is on a two-day visit to China to attend the 25th Heads of State Council meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as a guest of honor.
Starting his diplomatic engagements on the sidelines of the summit, Erdogan first met with Xi at the Tianjin Guesthouse.
He was accompanied by Türkiye's top officials, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, and National Intelligence Organization chief Ibrahim Kalin.
