ISTANBUL

Tropical Storm Bualoi has left at least 10 people dead as more than 120,000 people were evacuated Friday in the Philippines.

Bualoi brought torrential rains and powerful winds to the central Philippines and southern Luzos, posing additional threats to residents who remain in flood-hit Bulacan.

With seven more people reported dead due to the typhoon, the death toll rose to 10, the Office of Civil Defense said Friday, according to the Inquirer media outlet.

More than 10 people remain missing.

Around 120,888 families, or close to 433,000 people, have also been evacuated to mitigate the effects of the storm, said officials, according to state-run Philippine News Agency.

The storm follows Super Typhoon Ragasa, which battered the country in recent days, leaving more than 20 dead in Taiwan and the Philippines.
