The families of the victims of the South Korean plane crash have filed a criminal complaint against 15 people, including high-ranking officials, local media reported Tuesday.

On Dec. 29, some 179 out of a total 181 passengers onboard were killed when a Jeju Air jet from Bangkok erupted into flames on Dec. 29 after crashing into the localizer's concrete mound as it overshot the runway when it made an emergency belly landing at the Muan International Airport, about 290 kilometers (180 miles) south of Seoul.

Only two passengers had survived the accident.

The victims' families filed a complaint against 15 people, including Jeju Air's CEO and Transport Minister Sangwoo Park, the Maeil Business Newspaper reported, citing their attorneys.
