Philippine Vice President Sara’s trip to Hague authorized by Office of President, says Palace
Presidential Communications Office undersecretary says clearance issued by president’s office

ISTANBUL
The Philippines presidential office granted authority to Vice President Sara Duterte to travel to The Hague after the arrest of her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, an official said Wednesday, according to the Philippine News Agency.
“The Office of the President issued a travel authority to Vice President Sara as of last night,” said Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.
She said, however, that her office was not “immediately updated” about Sara’s travel, noting that “the information was initially disclosed only to limited people due to the unusual urgency and the confidentiality of the document.”
The presidential office previously said Sara Duterte left Manila on an Emirates Flight to Amsterdam.
