No survivors have yet been found following the crash of a China Eastern Airlines plane carrying 132 people, local media said on Tuesday.

The plane, Boeing 737 with 123 passengers and nine crew members, was flying from China's Kunming to Guangzhou when it crashed in a mountainous area near the eastern city of Wuzhou on Monday.

Search and rescue efforts continue, with the wreckage of the plane and some personal belongings of those on board found at the scene. But there has been no sign of survivors.

Investigators are searching for the plane's black boxes to shed more light on the crash.

In a statement, Boeing said it is in "contact with the US National Transportation Safety Board and our technical experts are prepared to assist with the investigation led by the Civil Aviation Administration of China."
