The Tagansky District Court of Moscow on Monday found US technology giant Google guilty of violating procedures for restricting access to information and resources subject to limitation under Russian legislation.
The total amount of fines imposed after hearings in five administrative cases amounted to 19 million rubles ($250,560).
The new fine adds to Google’s existing penalties, including a previously reported record 91.5 quintillion ruble judgment.
Several foreign technology platforms, including US social media company X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as video platform YouTube, have faced blocking measures or access restrictions in Russia in recent years for failing to comply with national legislation.
