ISTANBUL
A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region on Thursday, the US Geological Survey said.
The quake occurred 62 kilometers (38.5 miles) southeast of Urumqi, the regional capital, at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers (6.21 miles), according to the USGS.
It struck at 0739 GMT.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
