Acting Afghan foreign minister meets Russia's top cleric in Moscow
Amir Khan Muttaqi along with delegation visiting Russia to attend Moscow-format meeting

Afghanistan's acting foreign minister met with Russia's top cleric in Moscow, an official said on Thursday.
Interim Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, who arrived in Moscow on Monday leading a delegation, met with Grand Mufti of the Russian Federation and Imam of the Central Mosque of Moscow Ravil Ainuddin, deputy spokesperson of Foreign Ministry Hafiz Zia Ahmad wrote on X.
On the sidelines of visit to Moscow, FM Muttaqi met with the Grand Mufti of the Russian Federation and Imam of the Central Mosque of Moscow, Mr. Ravil Ainuddin.
In the meeting, Mufti Rawil Ainuddin gave detailed information about Muslims and religious centers in Russia, and also pic.twitter.com/pEOnMPzwHF
Muttaqi also visited the Central Mosque and was briefed on Muslims and religious centers in Russia.
He also hoped the top cleric would play his role in strengthening relations between Afghanistan and Russia.
Muttaqi arrived in Moscow before moving on to Kazan, the capital of the Tatarstan Republic of the Russian Federation, where he is expected to attend a Moscow-format meeting.
