The Pakistan Army has killed seven militants during an "intelligence-based operation" in the southwestern Balochistan province, the military media wing said in a statement on Friday.

During the operation on Wednesday, the Pakistani military engaged the militants, and after "an intense fire exchange," seven of them were killed in Balochistan's Sherani district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

"Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area," the statement said.

The security forces of Pakistan "are determined to wipe out the menace of 'Indian-sponsored' terrorism from the country and reaffirm the nation's unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice," it said.

There has been no response yet from Indian authorities to Islamabad’s allegation of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan.
