22 dead, 369,000 affected by floods across 19 provinces in Thailand
Government to provide 9,000 baht ($276) to 109,426 affected households

Twenty-two people have died while 369,000 have been affected by floods across 19 provinces in Thailand due to recent heavy rains, according to officials on Tuesday.
The floods continue to affect the country as 109,426 households, or 369,724 people, have been affected, The Nation newspaper reported, citing Thailand’s Disaster Prevention Department.
Each affected household will receive 9,000 baht ($276) as part of a relief effort.
Most of the deaths were recorded in the cities of Uttaradit and Ayutthaya, with eight fatalities recorded in each location.
More than 790 disaster-relief machines and vehicles were deployed to assist with flood prevention, emergency response, rescue operations and recovery efforts.
