TURKCELL TO START TO OFFER SERVICE IN GERMANY
BERLIN - Turkey's biggest GSM operator Turkcell and its 100 percent subsidiary company Turkcell Europe will start offering services in Germany beginning as of the first quarter of 2011 over the infrastructure of Deutsche Telekom.

"After launching operations in countries like Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Moldova, now we came to Germany with Turkcell trademark," he said adding that, "we will be operating in Germany by making cooperation with the highest technology company of Germany, the Deutsche Telekom. We will start to operate in Germany in February 2011 with Turkcell Europe trademark," Ciliv said.
Ciliv said Turkcell Europe users would be able to make use of Turkcell services under appropriate conditions when they go to Turkey, noting, "we aim to connect people in Turkey and Germany to each other with more favorable conditions. We are boosting ties with this country. This is another way of entering the EU."
Ciliv said the price list would be made public when the operation started.
He said call center services of Turkcell Europe would be given from Turkey in Turkish and German over Global Information.
Turkcell has 34.3 million subscribers as of end-March 2010. It is not only the leading operator in Turkey, but is also the second biggest GSM operator in Europe in terms of subscriber numbers.
