GIANT CARGO SHIP PASSES THROUGH ISTANBUL STRAIT
ISTANBUL - A 315-meter long cargo ship, navigating from the Sea of Marmara to Black Sea, passed through Istanbul Strait (Bosphorus) safely on Thursday.

The giant cargo ship entered the strait, one of world's busiest waterways, at 10:00 a.m. Turkish local time and completed its transit from the strait in around two hours.
Turkey's largest tugboats escorted the ship during its transit through the strait.
V. Kerkis, which has 21 crew members, will be back at the Istanbul Strait after 25 days, this time fully loaded, officials said.
