GERMAN PIANIST TO GIVE CONCERT IN ISTANBUL
ISTANBUL - A German pianist of Japanese origin will take stage in the Turkish province of Istanbul on March 17.

Ott is expected to perform works from Beethoven, Mendelsohn, Chopin and Liszt in the concert.
Twenty-one year old German-Japanese pianist, Alice Sara Ott has already gained great critical acclaim for her performances at major concert halls across Europe and Japan. At the age of thirteen, Alice was hailed the Most Promising Artist at the Hamamatsu International Piano Academy Competition, and two years later she went on to take the top prize at the Silvio Bengalli International Piano Competition as the youngest contestant.
Recent engagements have brought Alice into collaboration with the NDR Sinfonieorchester, Muenchner Philharmoniker, Hessischer Rundfunk, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Zuercher Kammerorchester and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic with whom she also toured Japan under Sakari Oramo in February 2010.
Upcoming orchestral debuts include concerts with the MDR Sinfonieorchester, Wiener Symphoniker and the San Francisco Symphony, Malaysian Philharmonic, Tokyo Symphony and Philharmonia Orchestras while 09/10 recital highlights include appearances at the Auditorium du Louvre, Adler Series Berlin, Munich Prinzregententheater, Hamburg Laeiszhalle and the Wien Konzerthaus.
In addition to her solo activities, Alice is a keen chamber musician and makes regular appearances at the festivals in Heimbach, Zurich, Davos and Schwetzingen alongside artists such as Lars Vogt, Gustav Rivinius, Tadjana Masurenko and Peter Sadlo. Alice also frequently appears in recital at the Klavier-Festival Ruhr, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Festspiele Mecklenburg Vorpommern and Braunschweig Classix Festival.
In May 2008 Alice Sara Ott signed as an exclusive Deutsche Grammophon artist. Her highly successful debut recording featuring Liszt's 12 Études d'exécution transcendante was quickly followed by a second album encompassing the complete waltzes of Frédéric Chopin, an album which entered both the German and US Classical iTunes charts at No.1. Alice's eagerly awaited debut orchestral recording featuring the First Piano Concertos of Tchaikovsky and Liszt, with the Muenchner Philharmoniker under Thomas Hengelbrock will be released in 10/11.
A student of Professor Karl-Heinz Kammerling at Mozarteum Salzburg in 2000, Alice now resides in Munich.
