GALATASARAY TO REPORT LINCOLN TO UEFA
ISTANBUL - Istanbul side Galatasaray will terminate
the contract with Brazilian midfielder Cassio Lincoln and report him to
European football's governing body UEFA, club chairman said on
Wednesday.
Adnan Polat said Lincoln will never play for Galatasaray again.
"He is in his country and he will probably not come to Turkey again," Polat told reporters.
"We will terminate his contract and seek our rights at UEFA," he said.
Galatasaray signed the 30-year-old Brazilian on a four-year contract in 2007. After playing 62 games and scoring 18 goals, Lincoln has not returned from this year's summer break to join his team for the next season.
