Cuban, Serbian and Argentinian ambassadors to Turkey have extended their warm congratulations to Anadolu Agency celebrating its 100th anniversary Monday.
"Congratulations on the 100 anniversary of Anadolu Agency. Its coverage is really important for getting and following news on Turkey's reality in all aspects (from political and economic to social and cultural), in connection with the country, on international relevant events and issues," Cuba's Ambassador Luis Alberto Amoros Nunez said in a statement to the agency.
The ambassador lauded overall content of Turkey’s leading news provider as well as its fair coverage of news and developments in Cuba.
"I have a positive experience with the agency information and its coverage on news related to Cuba, including regarding the blockade Cuban are suffering from the U.S." Amaros said, referring to decades-long U.S. sanctions on the Caribbean nation.
"I take this opportunity to wish all the best to the Anadolu team and to all Turkish people in these difficult hours of World fighting against COVID-19," he added.
Serbian Ambassador Zoran Mirkovic, for his part, extended his congratulations to the agency's leadership and employees, praising the company's ethics and efficiency.
"I most sincerely wish to congratulate Anadolu Agency on the very important jubilee. From my experience, I can attest to the highest degree of professionalism of the staff of Turkish national news agency and praise the range of issues, depth, insight and balance of coverage," Mirkovic said.
"It truly shines as like beacon among its peers, with a well deserved international rating, a testimony of which is its global presence, as well as breadth of presence in international media, frequently cited as a trusted and reliable source," he added.
The ambassador also praised the agency's coverage of his homeland, saying it "serves to the benefit of cooperation, better understanding and ever-improving quality of our bilateral relations."
Argentina's Ambassador to Ankara Jorge Mastropietro also extended his greetings to the agency, saying: "On behalf of the Argentine Embassy and my own behalf, I want to extend to our congratulations on the 100 anniversary of Anadolu Agency."
Turkey's flagship Anadolu Agency is celebrating its 100 anniversary, as it was founded on April 6, 1920 – 17 days before the Turkish Grand National Assembly convened for the first time.
Since its foundation, Anadolu Agency has worked to disseminate factual news across the globe with confidence, impartiality, professionalism, and speed.
It is viewed as one of the world's most prestigious news agencies, currently producing news in 13 languages and serving 6,000 subscribers in 93 countries with at least 3,000 employees stationed in 100 countries.
