US police investigating shooting in Atlanta as multiple injuries reported

Police said on Wednesday that they are investigating an active shooter in the US state of Georgia as multiple people are being reported as injured.
"We are working an active shooter situation inside a building on West. Peachtree St, between 12th St and 13th St. We are aware of multiple people injured," the Atlanta Police Department tweeted.
No suspect is in custody in the incident that took place in Atlanta, said the department.
"Anyone in the area is asked to secure their building and shelter in place. Anyone not in the area is asked to stay away," it added.
