US lawmaker subpoenas Biden’s physician over alleged cover-up of mental decline
Subpoena compels Dr. Kevin O’Connor to appear for a closed-door deposition on June 27

WASHINGTON
US Rep. James Comer issued a subpoena Thursday to former President Joe Biden’s doctor Kevin O’Connor to testify before the House Oversight Committee as part of an investigation into an alleged cover-up of Biden's mental decline.
The subpoena compels O’Connor to appear for a closed-door deposition on June 27.
"I expect Dr. Kevin O’Connor, President Joe Biden’s physician, to appear for a deposition on June 27, 2025, as part of @GOP oversight's investigation into the cover-up of Joe Biden’s decline & unauthorized use of the autopen," said Comer, who is the chairman of the committee.
Comer said the committee is investigating whether O’Connor’s personal or financial relationship with the Biden family may have influenced his public evaluations of the president’s health.
"Given your connections with the Biden family, the Committee sought to understand if you contributed to an effort to hide former President Biden’s fitness to serve from the American people," he said.
"Your testimony is critical."
This is not the first time that Comer has requested O’Connor's testimony regarding Biden’s health.
The Biden administration has not publicly commented on the latest subpoena.
