Trump speaks to Kazakh, Uzbek leaders on global conflicts

ISTANBUL

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday spoke with the leaders of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and discussed efforts to bring peace to ongoing conflicts and enhance trade cooperation.

"I had two wonderful telephone calls this morning with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan," Trump said on his social media platform Truth Social.

The leaders discussed the "importance of bringing Peace to ongoing conflicts" and expanding trade and cooperation between their nations, Trump said.

"The relationship with both countries is spectacular," he added.

Trump said he will invite both Central Asian leaders as guests to next year's G20 summit, which the US will host in Miami, Florida.
