Trump announces new F-15EX fighter jets for Selfridge Air National Guard Base
President says new fighter jets, ‘the best in the world,’ will replace retiring A-10 Warthogs

WASHINGTON
US President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Harrison Township, Michigan will be getting new fighter jets.
“As commander and chief, I’m proud to announce that very soon, we will replace the retiring A-10 Warthogs with 21 brand-new (Boeing) F-15EX Eagle II fighter jets," Trump said, speaking before Michigan National Guard troops on military readiness and his first 100 days in office.
He called the new fighter jets "the best in the world."
"This will keep Selfridge at the cutting edge of Northern American airpower," he said, calling it an "exciting time" for the US military.
