Akbar Salehi reports that soldiers, civilians, and children killed since Feb. 28 as attacks continue
TEHRAN, Iran
At least 63 people have lost their lives in Iran’s Isfahan province since the US and Israel launched attacks on Feb. 28, the deputy governor said.
“Since the beginning of the war in Isfahan Province, 63 people -- including soldiers, civilians, and children -- have lost their lives,” Akbar Salehi said.
Speaking to journalists about the ongoing Israeli and US attacks targeting Isfahan, Salehi emphasized that the attacks continue.
He also urged the people of Isfahan not to pay attention to false claims circulating on social media and to rely on the country’s official news channels for accurate information.
US-Israel attacks on Iran
Israel and the US launched military strikes against Iran on Feb. 28, while negotiations between Tehran and Washington were ongoing.
In response, Iran targeted several locations in the region, including Israel and US military bases in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain.
The US-Israel attacks resulted in the deaths of many, including Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei and numerous high-ranking officials.
According to Hossein Kermanpur, spokesperson for the Iranian Health Ministry, a total of 926 people have been killed in the US-Israel strikes.
