Anadolu Agency published Tawhid and Jihad armed fighters' photos and videos in Gao, the northern city of Mali, during their withdrawal from the region due to advance of government and French troops.
One of the leaders of the Movement for Tawhid and Jihad in northern Mali, Abu ed-Derda al-Moritani said, "We are not to leave the French and Malian army with their fake victory" to AA.
Gao was seized together with other two cities in April last year. Tawhid and Jihad movement is also actively present in the northern provinces of Kidal and Timbuktu. Timbuktu airport was reported to be captured by French and Malian troops.
