World Bank (WB) Group President Jim Yong Kim on Wednesday visited the Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees in northern Jordan.
Accompanied by Jordanian Planning Minister Ibrahim Seif, Kim met with a number of Syrian refugees and listened to their grievances.
He said the WB would try to extend aid to countries that host Syrian refugees, especially Jordan and Lebanon.
Kim arrived in Jordan late Tuesday from Lebanon, where he had held talks with a host of Lebanese officials, including Prime Minister Tammam Salam.
There are currently around 1.3 million Syrian refugees in Jordan, including 600,000 officially registered with the United Nations.
