US, Italy discuss Middle East, Iran nuclear threat in Washington meeting
US secretary of state, Italian foreign minister also discuss Ukraine, priorities on China, Latin America, says State Department

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Tuesday in Washington, DC to address global issues.
"Secretary of State Marco Rubio met today with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani to discuss the Middle East, the Russia-Ukraine war, and shared priorities on China and Latin America," the State Department said in a statement by spokesperson Tammy Bruce.
Rubio and Tajani also addressed a recently agreed "ceasefire between Israel and Iran and discussed next steps to ensure Iran can never develop or acquire a nuclear weapon."
