Commissioner General Filippo Grandi of UN Relief & Works Agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) said that they needed 91 million USD of assistance in the first six months of 2013.
Speaking to AA on Monday, Grandi called on all countries, especially Arab countries, to support UNRWA.
Noting that it was obligatory to reserve 10 percent of assistance, which was extended to civilians in Syria, to Palestinian refugees there, Grandi said that Saudi Arabia was the only Arab country which was a donor of UNRWA for Palestinians in Syria.
Grandi also praised Turkey's donations in UNRWA.
Grandi said that Turkey's support in UNRWA increased in recent years.
