Canadian Minister of Citizenship & Immigration Jason Kenney visited the container site in Turkey's southeastern Kilis province where Syrian refugees were staying.
Kenney was briefed about the conditions of Syrians as well as the services made to them.
Kenney said that he was impressed with the comprehensive services in the container site.
Kenney also said that Canada would extend 1.5 million USD of pre-assistance to Turkish Red Crescent for Syrian refugees.
The Netherlands will extend additional assistance for Syrians
The Netherlands announced that it would extend an additional assistance for Syrian refugees.
The additional assistance worth of five million euro will be used for Syrian refugees in Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq.
Dutch Minister of Development Cooperation Lilianne Ploumen said that winter season was hard in the regions where Syrian refugees were staying, thus, they decided to increase the amount of assistance.
The Netherlands had extended 23 million euro of assistance for Syrian refugees in 2012.
