ANKARA
A number of Turkish lawmakers travelled on Tuesday to the Arakan region in Myanmar where Muslims have been suffering from violence against them.
Turkish Group Chairman of Asia Parliaments Assembly and the ruling Justice and Developments (AK) Party's lawmaker Yuksel Ozden and AK Party's another lawmaker Ibrahim Korkmaz left Turkey for Arakan region to see the violence against Rohingya Muslims on the spot.
In addition to Ozden and Korkmaz, several former prime ministers and parliament speakers from Asian countries will also go to the region.
Lawmaker Ozden stated that Turkey did not ignore the Muslims in their tough times.
