Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Abdallah said Turkey-Lebanon had always good relations and two countries got this point by means of mutual efforts.
Abdallah, stating that he was impressed a lot by the recent progress of Turkey as well as bilateral relations, said:
"The achievements of Turkey over the past 20 years are incredible miracle. Your economy is growing. The number of universities and higher education institutions is increasing continually. You have a young and educated population. Turkey is a transit point for both Europe and the Middle East. You have an important role internationally. You are hardworking, you got up early and moved forward."
Abdallah, belonging to Christianity, stated that Ramadan did not just mean not eating.
"Not eating is not enough for fasting, you should also stay away from the sins" said the ambassador.
Pointing out that the most important precept of Islam was zakat (obligatory alms), Abdallah defined zakat as "Sharing the endowed food by Creator with created one."
