A Pakistani court on Saturday sentenced six more Taliban members to death for their part in a deadly 2014 gun and bomb attack on an Islamabad courthouse.
The violence claimed 11 lives, including that of a judge.
Today’s ruling – the latest in a string of criminal sentences handed down to militants – comes two days after a military court sentenced seven Taliban militants to death for plotting the gruesome December 2014 attack on an army-run school in Peshawar which killed over 150 people, mostly children.
The convicts sentenced on Saturday have the right to challenge the judgment in the high court and subsequently in the supreme court within the next seven days.
