ALEPPO
Severe clashes continue between Assad forces and opponents in the Syrian city of Aleppo. Regime forces attack with heavy weapons while opponents counter with homemade rockets in the region.
Syrian opponents, moving via opening small holes in the walls of adjacent homes, counter against Assad forces with small arms and handmade rockets and mines.
Meanwhile, the clashes also damage the historic mosques in the region.
Abu Jafar, one of the commanders of the Tawhid Brigade which conducts operations in the region, told Anadolu Agency that their operation was a retaliation against Assad's attacks in Besatin Qusur and East Ghouta.
Claiming to have attacked a control point in Avamid field and killed over 30 regime soldiers, Abu Jafar said, "We damaged a military guard post with native-made rockets and captured a control point of the regime in the old Aleppo region."
"Assad forces used chemical weapon as they suffered casualties"
Jafar said that the Assad regime used chemical weapons as they suffered casualties and could not advance in the region.
Abu Jafar also stated, "Assad forces, taking the advantage of the UN committee's presence in Syria, conducted the chemical attack and pinned this crime on the opponents by saying "How can we [Assad forces] attack while the UN is in Syria?" Furthermore, it is not possible for us to conduct such an attack as we have only small guns."
The clashes continue between regime forces and the opponents linked to the Tawhid Brigade.
