LONDON
The United Kingdom (UK) Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs William Hague held a phone conversation with US Secretary of State John Kerry following the chemical attack in Syria.
The two leaders focused on the latest develpments in Syria in which a chemical weapon attack left more than 1,000 people dead.
Turkish Foreign Minister Davutoglu also stated that he had spoken to Kerry at his request.
"We agreed that the Syrian government must allow immediate access to the area for the UN team currently investigating previous allegations of chemical weapons use. We also discussed continued international co-operation in tackling the grave humanitarian situation in Syria and on how to encourage progress towards a political solution," Hague had said after the talk with his Turkish counterpart.
