Greek Cypriots rushed to their banks after banks got reopened after a period of 12 days.
The banks were closed due to economic restructuring as part of an agreement reached between the Greek Cypriot administration and the EU as well as the IMF.
Greek Cypriot banks were reopened at 12.00 noon and remained open till 18.00 hours on Thursday.
Individuals could withdraw up to 300 euros from banks on Thursday.
There were no security problems reported related to the banks on Thursday.
