CAIRO
Arab League Assistant Secretary-General Ahmed Ben Helli said that as long as there was a 'division' among Palestinian groups, the diplomatic success Palestine had gained in international arena would not be completed.
Ben Helli told AA that they had been exerting great efforts for a consensus between Palestinian leaders, adding that a consensus between Hamas and Fatah was a priority not only for Palestinian people but also for all Arabs.
Ben Helli said that the agreement between Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas political bureau chief Khaled Mashal was a 'guarantee' for taking practical steps in Palestine.
