CAIRO
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) plans to hold an extraordinary summit in Morocco to discuss developments in the Palestinian territories.
In a Thursday statement, the OIC said that consultations were underway to set the date and venue of the summit.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has earlier called for holding a summit to discuss Palestinian developments, particularly the situation in East Jerusalem.
On Wednesday, the committee on the Arab peace initiative called for placing Jewish settler groups on a terror list and trying its members before international tribunals.
The committee meeting, which was held in Cairo at the level of foreign ministers, came a few days after a Palestinian baby was burned to death in an arson attack by Jewish settlers in the West Bank city of Nablus.
