The militant Somali Al-Shabaab group has claimed responsibility for Saturday's twin car bombings in neighboring Djibouti.
In a statement, Al-Shabaab member Sheikh Ali Mahamud Raji said the attacks targeted French interests in reprisal for what he described as "atrocities" against Muslims and interference in Somali affairs.
A man and a woman detonated two car bombs outside a French restaurant frequented by foreign nationals in the Al-Menelik district of the capital city Djibouti on Saturday.
The blasts killed a Turkish man and the two attackers and wounded around 15 others, many of them foreign nationals.
Djibouti is home to two French and American military bases and an international taskforce to counter terrorism and piracy in the region.
