ISTANBUL
Turkey Director of the World Bank Martin Raiser on Friday said that developing economies continued to have more say in the global economy with passing time.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), Martin Raiser said that it was definitely a possibility to see a Turk as the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in the future.
Turkey's exports are seriously shifting towards the east, the Middle East and Africa. Turkey has great potential in new markets, Raiser indicated.
The World Bank is making plans to allocate a budget of 6.2 billion USD for Turkey alone, Raiser said.
We do believe that the Turkish economy, in the medium run, will grow 5 percent annually, Raiser also said.
