8 killed in blast in Colombian capital

BOGOTA, Colombia
At least 8 people were killed and 30 others injured when a car bomb exploded in Bogota, local media reports.
Mayor Enrique Penalosa was cited in reports that said the explosion occurred outside the General Santander police academy in the capital.
In a Twitter post, President Ivan Duque confirmed that it was a “terrorist act”.
No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing and authorities have not said who may be behind the blast.
