At least 51 people died and seven others were seriously wounded Wednesday when a TransAsia Airways plane crashed during an emergency landing near Taiwan's Magong Airport.
The country's Central News Agency reported that flight GE222 had 58 people on board including four crewmembers and four children when it took off from Koasiung, Taiwan.
Local media reported aviation officials as saying that the domestic flight had aborted its initial landing and then crashed.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
