Cengiz suffers anterior cruciate ligament injury

ANKARA
Turkish wrestler Ali Cengiz sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during preparations for the Turkish Championship, the Turkish Wrestling Federation announced Wednesday.
The federation stated that Cengiz's overall condition was good and that he is receiving the necessary medical care and support.
Cengiz clinched the gold medal at the World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, on Sept. 24, 2024.
