Turkish president shares AI-created song ‘Boycott’ in support of Palestine
'We stand with Gaza and our Palestinian brothers with our voices, words, prayers, humanitarian aid, and all the means at our disposal,' says Recep Tayyip Erdogan
WASHINGTON
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan shared an AI-generated song on Monday titled “Boycott" to express his support for Palestine.
"We stand with Gaza and our Palestinian brothers with our voices, words, prayers, humanitarian aid, and all the means at our disposal,” Erdogan said on X, while posting the new song.
"We will always continue to support their noble and honorable resistance," he added.
The song was created by the Justice and Development (AK) Party's Istanbul MP Yucel Arzen Haciogullari using artificial intelligence.
A longtime opponent of Israel’s illegal settlements in the West Bank and years-long economic embargo on the Gaza Strip, Türkiye stepped up its efforts against the Israeli government last October, when Israel launched a relentless offensive on Gaza which has so far killed more than 41,000 people, mostly women and children, and injured over 95,000, according to local health authorities.
In addition to encouraging international solidarity against Israel’s actions, Türkiye also called off bilateral trade and joined a case at the International Court of Justice in The Hague accusing Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in the besieged enclave.
