WASHINGTON
US State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland said that US had an outstanding cooperation with Turkish government while investigating the attack on US Embassy in Ankara.
Nuland said that they were working together with Turkish police and authorities who were investigating the blast.
"Our cooperation with Turkish authorities has been excellent. The FBI is going to be coordinating closely with the Turkish national police to conduct a full investigation of the attack," she said.
A suicide blast on Friday at US Embassy killed the bomber and a security guard, while wounding a Turkish journalist.
Ankara Governor's Office stated on Saturday that six kg of TNT explosives caused the blast.
The suicide bomber, identified as Ecevit Sanli, was a member of DHKP-C terrorist organization.
Regarding death of US woman Sarai Sierra in Istanbul, Nuland offered condolences to the family and friends of Sierra.
"We thank the Turkish government for all of its efforts to locate Sierra, and we will remain in close contact with them as they pursue an investigation," she said.
33-year-old Sierra had been missing since January 21, and her body was discovered in Istanbul's Fatih district near the remains of ancient city walls in Sarayburnu on February 2.
Over the weekend, Huseyin Capkin, head of Istanbul Security Department, said that Sierra died of a head trauma.
