Turkish HSYK changes posts of 96 judges and prosecutors

ANKARA 

Ninety-six Turkish judges and prosecutors have been moved from their posts, including the chief public prosecutors of Adana, Izmir, Antalya, Diyarbakir and Samsun provinces of Turkey.

The First Office of the Turkish Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) held a meeting on Tuesday and completed 'the decree about evaluation of situation of some judges and prosecutors and the judges and prosecutors that give excuse.'

According to the decree, Izmir's Chief Public Prosecutor, Huseyin Bas has been appointed to Samsun's regional courts of justice; Samsun's Chief Public Prosecutor, Ali Yeldan to Adana chief public prosecutor's office; Bakirkoy's Deputy Chief Prosecutor, Orhan Kapici to attorneyship of Istanbul chief public prosecutor's office; Diyarbakir's Chief Public Prosecutor, Ilker Cetin to attorneyship of Usak chief prosecutor's office; and Duzce's Chief Prosecutor, Ramazan Solmaz has been appointed to Diyarbakir's chief prosecutor's office.

 Denizli's Chief Prosecutor, Ismail Alkan has been appointed to Antalya's chief prosecutor's office; Antalya's Chief Prosecutor, Ethem Kuris to Sakarya's regional courts of justice;  and Adana's Chief Prosecutor, Suleyman Bagriyanik to attorneyship of Antalya's chief prosecutor's office. 

Istanbul's High Criminal Court's Chief, Omer Dikmen has been replaced with Bakirkoy's High Criminal Court Chief, Ahmet Korkusuz, according to the decree.
