ISTANBUL
Former prime minister of Lebanon said on Sunday that Turkey's support to Syrian people would be appreciated.
Fouad Siniora said that recent incidents in Lebanon were wanted to be turned in Syrian people's favor.
"Turkey's support to freedom initiatives of the Syrian people will be appreciated," Siniora told AA correspondent in an exclusive interview in Istanbul.
Siniora said they were trying to show that radicalism had become the main political element in Lebanon, and al-Qaida had set up a base in Lebanon.
"They want to show as if al-Qaida has reached Syria and whatever is happening in Syria are incited by al-Qaida," Siniora said.
