A prosecutor in Istanbul demanded a court to sentence Aziz Yildirim, chairman of Turkish premier football division side Fenerbahce, to a prison term of between 3 years and ten months and 13 years and ten months for his involvement in a match-fixing scandal in Turkey.
The prosecutor charged Yildirim of masterminding a criminal gang, match-rigging and paying incentive premium to players in at least nine games last season in the Spor Toto Super League.
