PRISTINA
Turkey and Kosovo on Friday signed a cooperation protocol between their respective diplomat training academies.
The agreement was inked by Deputy Turkish Foreign Minister Naci Koru and Kosovo's Deputy Foreign Minister Petrit Selimi and it allows Kosovo's young diplomats to participate in training programs, symposiums and conferences held in Turkey.
Speaking at a press conference, Koru said Kosovo had "a distinct place" in Turkey's foreign policy, adding that Turkey had exerted intense efforts to improve cooperation between the two countries since Kosovo gained independence.
