ANKARA
Kosovo's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci, will pay an official visit to Turkey from Feb. 18 to 20, according to a statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on Tuesday.
Prospects for improving bilateral relations as well as current regional and international issues are to be discussed during Thaci's visit.
The statement continued: "Turkey firmly believes that a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, democratic and prosperous Kosovo is essential for the peace and stability of the Balkans."
February 17 is the 7th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kosovo. Turkey recognized the country on February 18, 2008.
