The new neighbourhoods established in the tent city in Akcakale town for the shelter of Syrian refugees has filled its capacity.
Five new neigborhoods were established in the Suleyman Sah Tent City for the refugees escaping the conflict in Syria, however Turkish Red Crescent Akcakale Branch Chairperson Ahmet Meshurgil said that the capacity was also filled in the additional five neighborhoods due to the increased number of refugees.
Meshurgil also stated that they completed their winter preparations which included installing base plates for the ground of the tents to protect from the cold and distributing winter blankets and electrical heaters.
Over 20 thousand Syrians are staying in the tent city already, in which, food, education and health services are provided along with shelter.
