Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Omer Celik on Sunday said "People who migrated to Europe from Anatolia made Europe into the Europe it is today."
Omer Celik made a speech at the meeting of the Union of European Turkish Democrats, or UETD, in Germany.
Celik stated that European history could not be written without taking the migrants from Anatolia into account.
Celik also stated that Turkey stood aside the Turks living in foreign countries unconditionally.
Touching on the Turkish economy in his speech, Celik said, "Turkey has become a role model for those countries in economic or democratic crisis."
Emphasizing that Turkey progressed greatly in Alewi-Sunnite, Turkish-Kurdish, military-civil relations, and embraced every citizen, Celik recommended the same to Europe.
"If the problem is Copenhagen Criteria, there is no obstacle standing for Turkey's full accession into the EU. Turkey has realized the criteria more than many EU member states" Celik added.
