Journalist Soner Yalcin released in Odatv case

ISTANBUL

Journalist Soner Yalcin was released from prison in the ongoing Odatv case.
Istanbul 16th High Criminal Court released journalist-writer Soner Yalcin by majority of votes.
The case regarding Odatv, an online news portal, began after police conducted a search of the Odatv's offices in February 2011 as part of the ongoing Ergenekon investigation.
Yalcin had been in prison for nearly two years.
Odatv defendants face several charges including attempting to influence the media in favor of those laying the groundwork for a coup.
