Gezi Park protester, member of terrorist organization

 A member of Socialist Democracy Party (SDP), who threw a petrol bomb at police at Istanbul's Taksim Square and reportedly carried a gun, has been detained.

The detainee had also served 6 months in jail for being a member to a terrorist organization.

Istanbul Police Department had detained 70 people last Monday in protests at Istanbul's Taksim Square after clashes earlier Monday morning which saw protesters hurling petrol bombs. 

The 70 detainees were under interrogation at counter-terrorism branch of Istanbul Police Department.
